What's New
Dr. Mills used to remind us of the importance of giving children a chance. Together, we are doing this in his honor through the Mills Endowment for Health and Education. We're on our way to teaching children to read... survive... succeed. With your help, this relatively new fund has already grown to $1.4 million Interest will be used to fund new and innovative programs all over the world.

Baiwan is one of the 10 most impoverished villages in Guangdong Province. In 1936, Dr. Verent J. Mills went to this mountain village by foot and established his first church, bible school, and orphange in China. During his missionary work in Baiwan, he changed the lives of many people around him, including the baptism of over 100 people. Dr. Mills left there in 1945, but even 65 years later, he is still remembered. On November 20, 2000, a group of former HKCCF orphans throughout the world went to Baiwan for an opportunity to discover their roots. The legacy of Dr. Mills continues...
