Hong Kong's CCF program becomes self-supporting with the creation of The Hong Kong Children & Youth Services.

1981, July
Verent Mills retires and resides in Fresno.

1986
Dr. Chun Wai Chan of Fresno, California, former CCF child at Faith Love Home in Hong Kong from 1959 to 1967, becomes first former CCF-sponsored child to be elected to CCF's Board of Directors.

1994, Dec. 28
The first class reunion of the CCF/HK alumni held in Fresno, CA. Alumni that lived in the United States and Hong Kong joined together for a traditional Christmas celebration with Rev. and Mrs. Mills.

1995, Nov.
Rev. and Mrs. Mills pay a final visit to Hong Kong.

1996, Nov. 14
Reverent Mills passes away at age 83.
